The Great British Cleaning Show 2022

September is quite an exciting month for the UK cleaning industry because that’s when one of the biggest trade events happens. We call it the Great British Cleaning Show, the actual name, however, is The Cleaning Expo.

The Cleaning Expo is an annual event hosted in a different city across England. In 2022 the host location was Stoneleigh Park, Warwickshire. It took place on 17 September and covered everything a cleaning business or an industry worker may be interested in. Topics included safety, cleaning products and tools trends, marketing methods, uniforms, work vehicles and much more.

What was new

The Cleaning Expo has been growing each year and the 2022 edition was the biggest of all times. Kids have always been allowed during the show and entered for free, but what’s new this year is that the venue was dog-friendly too! There were tens of manufacturers and suppliers who exhibited their products. Cleaning businesses in attendance had the opportunity to try out new tools and solutions, as well as learn new methods to be implemented in their service offering.

Who went

As usual, the Cleaning Expo connects everyone involved in the cleaning industry – from cleantech manufacturers to business service providers to cleaning company owners and independent cleaners. It is not uncommon to see individuals who are really passionate about maintaining a healthy and safe environment to come just to get inspiration for their personal home projects.

Why is it great

Events like this are fantastic networking opportunities. Just like in any other trade show, vendors have the chance to grow their sales exponentially and attendees usually get amazing deals. The exposure to so many machines, products and service providers serves as an inspiration for new ideas and overall improvement in the offering of the sector. As an added bonus, the expo is a real-life connection between people and professionals who may otherwise communicate with each other exclusively online.

Other big cleaning shows in the world

Some other countries in the world are preparing similar huge events for the cleaning industry in the next couple of months. The top 3 upcoming expos are in Chicago, USA (10-13 October), Lagos, Nigeria (16-18 November) and Hangzhou, China (23-25 November).
